ABOUT WEI
I learned to cook in Nanning, South China. Life in rural China was challenging, but our food was always flavoursome. Chicken cooked with mushrooms was a New Year luxury. While work progressed in the rice fields our food was slowly cooking over a small fire. Very different from today's image of Chinese 'fast-food'.
